About me
Olga Melnykova is a popular Contemporary Ukrainian artist, native of Lviv. She has moved to Ireland with her son, Platon shortly after Russian invasion to Ukraine in 2022. Her artistic pseudonym Art Studio Platon is a tribute to her son, who often helps her in creating the backgrounds for the artwork. Olga is a polyglot - fluent in English, Italian and French, cosmopolite who finds inspiration in extensive travelling and learning new cultures. Olga holdsMaster’s Degree in History of Arts from NAOMA (National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture), Kyiv, Ukraine.The Artist works in her special technique using oil, acrylic, golden powder, creating “art puzzles” – paintings that can be displayed both together or apart and make the viewer guessing about the meaning behind it. After having moved to Ireland, Olga has held her first solo show in Dublin “Puzzles of life” that was a tribute to thousands of Ukrainians who had to flee the war and trying to put back their puzzles of life in effort to build new life.Her works are now kept in private collections in USA, Norway, Denmark, France, Italy, Monaco and Ireland. Olga is participant of multiple group exhibitions in Europe and is actively involved into charity projects and auctions.
